Water & Waste

We have full ranges of fluid sealing products that are well proven for long life with low maintenance in the water and waste sectors. In addition, our plant maintenance and refurbishment services are highly appreciated by utility companies.

Many of our sealing products are WRAS-approved for potable water applications. Some of these significantly reduce water companies' stockholding requirements, as they also have the abrasion and chemical resistance needed for wastewater processing and river intake duties.

Gland packings for pumps & valves

WRAS-approved gland packings for potable water duties include Duramid®, Fluograf®, and Hornet. All these provide long-term sealing with highly abrasive slurries and chemicals used in treatment processes. This makes them suitable for pumps and valves in virtually all water and sewage applications, enabling operators to reduce their stockholding levels. We also supply Pump & Valve Maintenance Kits for the water industry.

Cut gaskets & sheet jointings

WRAS-approved jointings for potable water duties include our non-asbestos Sentinel® and Inca, PTFE grades Fluolion® Integra White & Blue, and expanded graphite Supagraf® Plain Jointing. All can be supplied in sheet form for on-site economy or as precision cut gaskets to any shape, size and quantity.

Moulded & sheet rubber products

Our EP62 range of ethylene propylene elastomers is WRAS-approved for potable water duties. We precision mould 'O' rings and other components for the water industry in EP62. In addition, the excellent oil resistance of our nitrile NBR elastomers enables seals and other components of these materials to operate efficiently in plant where potable water contact is not involved.

Pump & valve maintenance/refurbishment

The repair and refurbishment of valves, pumps and hydraulic systems is a key service we provide to the water and waste sector. Skilled craftsmen at our dedicated workshops use the best equipment, materials and components for repair and refurbishment projects, and all plant items are tested and certified before re-installation. Our on-site staff are fully experienced and hold safety passports.

Hydraulic sealing components

Our family of hydraulic sealing products covers virtually every hydraulic application. Ranges of rod/gland seals, piston seals, wipers and bearing strips suit the most accurate instruments and control actuators up the heaviest jacks and cylinders. All the products are designed and proven to give optimum equipment performance with long trouble-free operating life.

Tension control fasteners

RotaBolt® tension control fasteners provides accuracy to ±5%. These converted bolts and studs are custom-manufactured for important applications where the failure of a bolted joint would have serious health & safety, environmental or financial consequences. They are extensively used on pipeline and pressure vessel flanges, mechanical plant and structures.
